When is yard waste picked up?
From April through December, Bartenfelder provides a monthly collection of yard waste on the 1st Saturday of the month, unless their service schedule changes due to a holiday/event. Acceptable yard waste materials include:
- grass clippings
- leaves
- garden debris
- brush
- branches
There is a maximum of 5 paper bags (no plastic bags will be accepted) or bundles per household. Bundles must be secured with twine and must not exceed 3 feet in length and 10 inches in diameter. The following materials will not be accepted:
- rocks/stones
- bricks
- pavers
- concrete
- soil of any kind
- plastic flowerpots
- bamboo
- branches that exceed 3 inches in diameter
The yard waste is often picked up very early in the morning, so it’s recommended to put it out the night before, if weather conditions (e.g., wind and rain) permit.
